Avian Influenza in West Bengal and Tripura
Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Govt. of India has notified Avian Influenza in poultry in Village Painakumari, Kurseong Block of Darjeeling District, West Bengal on 09.05.2008
The central team is monitoring the containment operations. Culling operations have started on 10.5.2008. The cullers have been medically examined. Four cullers were found medically unfit and not inducted for culling activities.
