To achieve the objective of providing social security with regard to life and disability cover, health and maternity benefits, old age pension and any other benefit to be decided by the Central Government, The Government Og India has formulated a bill..

It is called the Unorganized Sector Workers Social Security Bill, 2007, introduced in the Parliament on 10th September 2007.

While the bill was being evolved , wide-ranging consultations were held with employees’ representatives and specifically with the representatives of major categories of unorganized sector workers.

Poor households always fall in difficult times of medical emergencies. They are the most vulnerabe when it comes to health issues. The “Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana” or RSBY scheme has been launched by the Government of India to provide a must have support system to the BPL (Below Poverty Line) families in the participating States and districts through the provision of health insurance in the case of hospitalization.  read more »

The All-India Consumer Price Index Number for Agricultural Labourers (Base: 1986-87=100) for April, 2008 increased by 6 points each to stand at 429 (Four hundred and twenty nine) points for both.

The rise in index varied from State to State. In the case of Agricultural Labourers, 7 States reflected an increase in index ranging between 7 and 11 points; in 10 States between 3 and 6 points while in 3 States between 1 and 2 points. Punjab with 465 points topped the index table whereas Manipur was at the bottom with the index level of 374 points.

In the case of Rural Labourers, in 9 States, index ranged between 7 and 10 points in 10 States between 3and 6 points in 7 states and between 1 and 2 points in 3 states. Punjab with 464 points topped the index table whereas Manipur was at the bottom with the index level of 374 points.

The Consumer Price Index Number of Punjab for both Agricultural Labourers and Rural Labourers registered the highest increase of 11 and 10 points respectively mainly due to increase in the prices of rice, wheat, atta, masur dal, milk, vegetables and fruits, gur, bidi, cigarette, country liquor, firewood and shirting cloth. रायपुर, 14 मई 2008 - राजधानी रायपुर में स्थापित होने वाले एक निजी इंजीनियरिंग महाविद्यालय द्वारा विभिन्न संकायों के नौ प्रयोगशाला सहायकों के पदों पर नियुक्ति के लिए 27 मई को आई.टी.आई. श्याम नगर रायपुर में कैम्पस साक्षात्कार का आयोजन किया गया है। यह साक्षात्कार दोपहर 12 बजे से शुरू होगा। इस कैम्पस साक्षात्कार से विद्युतकार, इलेक्ट्रानिक्स, ड्राफ्ट्समेन (सिविल), फिटर, फाउन्डरी, ब्लैक-स्मिथी, कारपेंटर, फोरजिंग तथा वेल्डींग संकाय के नौ प्रयोगशाला सहायक के पदों पर योग्य उम्मीदवारों की नियुक्ति की जाएगी। इस साक्षात्कार अखिल भारतीय व्यावसायिक परीक्षा जुलाई 2008 में शामिल होने वाले आई.टी.आई. उत्तीर्ण या प्रशिक्षणरत छात्र-छात्राएं शामिल हो सकते हैं। इन नियमित पदों पर नियुक्ति के लिए साक्षात्कार के समय आवेदको को अपने शैक्षणिक, तकनीकी तथा अन्य आवश्यक प्रमाण पत्रों के साथ साक्षात्कार मंडल के समक्ष प्रस्तुत होना होगा।
